Miranda Warning and Your Right to Remain Silent
Over the years of working in law enforcement, I have figured out that even though everybody has the right to remain silent, not everybody has the ability. On this week's episode I break down the Miranda Warnings line by line and define what each of the five sentences mean to you. I also cover case law that protects your rights and identify when Miranda must be advised and suggest when you should invoke your right to remain silent. I talk about the difference between remaining silent and invoking your right to remain silent. To very different situations with very different outcomes. I also describe what must happen when a person that is subjected to Miranda actually invokes their right. Tune in to find out more.
