Chris Thorn Season 1 Episode 19

Send us a text

This week I talk about the Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie homicide/suicide case.  I talk about the Moab Police response to the 911 call regarding a possible domestic violence (DV) between Gabby and Brian. I talk about the initial traffic stop and the investigation leading up to the officer's decision to not arrest either one of them. I provide insight as to how DV laws are written and how they are interpreted by street officers along with the intended application as defined by federal statute.  I talk about Qualified Immunity and how it applies to the Moab Police Officers in this case and how it could possibly effect any future civil suits against the officers and/or the department.   I talk about weather or not believe the Laundries knew about Gabby's disappearance and demise prior to the FBI finding her body and weather or not the Laundrie family should be held accountable for their actions or lack thereof.  I also talk about Parent-Child Evidentiary Priviledge and weather or not it applies to Brain and his Parents.
